The Family Church exists to live as authentic followers of Jesus, serving all of Louisiana in WORD and DEED as He commands. We invite you to be a part of what God is doing here - living in and through a church community that is most concerned about making Christ's name known.
In an era of increasing skepticism about the relevance of Christianity, The Family Church is hoping to redefine the term "Great Church" for our culture. While churches are often seen as self-serving and out of touch, The Family Church hopes to embody the teachings of Jesus Christ as the actions of our church community serve as the very expression of the character of Jesus and His gospel.
It was Jesus who said in Mark 10:43-45, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Simply put, "great" churches - whether in size or in character - are serving churches. Great churches put the needs of others first, even if it comes at their own expense. Wouldn't it be great to be a part of a community of genuine Christians whose greatest desire would be to reflect the greatness of Jesus by living as sacrificially as He did for others?
We think so. That's why we're here. And that's why we can say, "Welcome to The Family Church. We're glad you're here!"
