Serving is one of the core values of The Family Church. We endeavor to serve people in our community through simple acts of kindness, with no strings attached.
The Swell Team was created to reach the community in any way possible. We want to do all that we can to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to share His love through practical ways. We believe this is one of the greatest avenues to share God’s love with people tangibly.
Over the years the Swell Team has been able to develop a wide variety of outreaches that occur in many different settings. These outreaches include free car washes, free water give-aways, lawn care, outreaches to the workers in the emergency room, servicemen in the community, construction workers, even to people with their pets at the dog park. These are just some of the ways that God has allowed us to reach out to people. And still we are always looking for new opportunities to serve.
Whatever the method, we want do our best to show people the love of Jesus Christ in tangible ways.
The Bible tells us in, Mark 10:45, that Jesus’ mission was to be a servant: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” How much more are we to follow His example of servanthood and give our everything to those around us.
